Stir in buttermilk and vanilla. Stir in flour, soda, salt, cocoa Chill at least 1 hour. Drop rounded tablespoons (or pat into a cookie shape), about 2" apart on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes (Do a test pan to check cookie consistency). The cookies have the right consistency when almost no imprint remains after touching. Frosting: Combine ingredients.
